Case Study: Heritage Christian Stables

Logo + Visual Identity Design

Overview

Heritage Christian Stables is a faith-based horse riding school offering lessons, training, and a strong community rooted in Christian values. They needed a modern, recognizable logo that would speak to both tradition and youth—something that could live on everything from signage to social media to tote bags.

Challenge

The client wanted to avoid cliché horse imagery and overly ornate Christian symbolism. They needed a logo that could communicate professionalism and faith without being heavy-handed, while also appealing to a younger audience and future generations of riders.

Solution

I designed a minimalist logo mark that integrates the initials H and C subtly into the form of a horse’s profile. The curved lines that form the "H" and "C" add movement and rhythm to the piece—echoing the graceful motion of riding, while also representing the community’s layered heritage and faith journey.

The horse head is abstract yet instantly recognizable—making it versatile across digital and print formats. It’s bold enough to work at small sizes (like embroidered caps or icons), yet refined enough for larger applications like signage or apparel.

Design Features

  • Hidden Letterforms: The curved lines subtly form the letters H and C, providing brand-specific identity while maintaining visual simplicity.

  • Geometric & Clean: Modern lines make it feel current, without straying from the stable’s traditional roots.

  • Faith Through Subtlety: Rather than overt religious symbols, the design communicates integrity, strength, and trust—core Christian values—in a visually abstract form.

  • Black & White Versatility: The mark works equally well in monochrome, allowing for flexibility across applications.

Outcome

The final mark resonated strongly with both the client and their community. It was praised for its modern take on an equestrian identity, and its ability to feel both grounded and aspirational. The brand now has a distinct, cohesive identity they can carry confidently into the future.
